Hooray!

I finally completed a clay sculpture on the fancy and pricey new sculpture stand which my partner got me for Christmas. It was a messy but fun experience. And, thankfully, the sculpture has not cracked, though I think it may be a bit thicker than it supposed to be (to avoid "crack-age") in places.

I am very happy with this, my first clay sculpture in about twenty years!

ABOUT ADULT CONTENT ON MY DA PAGE...

My journal and gallery contain some adult material, and feature both erotic and non-erotic works. All my mature works are set to mature and contain warnings. I am assuming that all who are not at least 18 years old are using the mature filter, as the DA rules require. I also assume that all adults who have a sensitive nature are using the adult filter or are sensible enough to turn the page if they do not appreciate my content.

Here is an essay which will explain all you might wish to know about adult content on my page:

ABOUT MY ART AND LITERATURE, YOUR OPINIONS, TOLERANCE AND CENSORSHIP...

In general, my creations are an outgrowth of my artistic vision, philosophy, sexuality and spirituality. Please be respectful, even if you "do not approve" of some things I put forth here. If you disagree or disapprove, please go check out one of the many pages here on DA more in line with your beliefs and taste.

PLEASE REMEMBER...

There would be no art without variety of outlook, style and vision. When you start the ball of censorship rolling today, it will come back to bite you in the posterior tomorrow (when the things you love are denigrated and stamped out).

If my page is for you, enjoy!

-Merton :)

Great, I´m always impressed which great talents some people have. I never could do something like that.

Well, I just jump in the pool and try things. One never knows till one tries. Hubby bumped into the table and decapitated these two... and now they look rather like ancient, dug up Greek lovers... poor fellows.

(I saved their heads, and might glue them back on sometime... wink).

I admire people who try something like that. I never could transform a piece of clay into something different than just a piece of clay. LOL
Oh, your hubby should be more careful with your art. ;-) But don´t care, it looks great.

ohh.. those sculpture stands 'can' get pricey  i'm weighing the option of cake vs. sculpture stand? lovely results though. so much of it's beauty is in it's frankness.
