It's a nice spot. Actually, I teach in the back of the house, now, so hubby and doggie can have the run of the place while I am instructing.

It looks cozy. I really like it. Upstairs, I have an old MIDI set up,centered around a 1989 Atari 1040STE. I play guitar and keyboards. I can really appreciate the quality music space.

That sounds like a nice space. Congrats. I am glad to hear you play guitar and keyboards. It is good to be versatile and have as much music in our lives as possible!

My current teaching studio in the back has a nice Clavinova piano. I lay tracks on it for my composing and have it hooked up to a sound board, reverb box, and CD burner. Also there are mics there for the voice and guitars and other stringed instruments (banjitar, ukes, mandolin, etc.) So, it is my recording studio, photography studio, craft studio, art gallery, library, and teaching studio... all in one small bedroom sized space.

I spent a whole week some years ago organizing it to be able to be all of these things. I think it was worth the effort. Figuring out how to make the most of the space available to us is so important, especially to those of us living in little suburban tract houses (and in teeny New York apartments, etc.).

I love music. Creating my own is a bonus. Having the ability to do all the instruments, even tho' most of the percussion is electronic,is even better.

Sounds like a really nice, creative space. Congrats to you.;p That's my goal as well. To have my room upstairs set up for art,and music. It would be nice to write motivational tunes that would inspire me to draw, and draw things that inspire more music. A vicious cycle.lol

Organizing the space is important. Especially if it's small. At the moment,it's a mess up there. I just recently finished running new,and rewiring, the whole upstairs. It also has some built in shelves,a bookcase, and a desk type thing that has to be torn out. I want to build new a bookcase,in a different location,to open up the room a bit. It's small, about 10x15 but, that's more than enough room to suit my needs. :)

I am glad you love music. Me too. It is a wonderful thing, both playing/singing it and creating it.

I am happy with my space. I would like to have more room, of course, but I have tried to make the most of what I have.

Your plans for your room sound like good ones. Wishing you the best of luck with creating your perfect space!

Sincerely,
Merton :)

Well,I don't sing. My singing would make you go blind. And you can't even see it.lol I do love to write tho'.

Thanks Merton. Your space sounds pretty comfy too. Too much space isn't good,in my opinion. I prefer a smaller room which, mine is.

Thank you very much! I'm working on it!:)
